Upcoming Appearances - Winter / Spring 2019

At Communications for Research, we love interacting with the market research community and one of the best ways we do that is through attending conferences and doing speaking engagements. We have three very exciting appearances coming up where you can catch our co-CEO Colson Steber.

1. Insights Association 2019 CEO Summit - Jan 21 - 23, 2019

Colson will be presenting at the Insights Association 2019 CEO Summit where he plans to talk about the story of Communications for Research, particularly about the changes he's made in the past year to improve his company.

We're planning on posting this full story on our blog after the conference, so if you're not able to attend, but are still curious about our story, stay tuned for that in an upcoming post.

2. Happy Market Research - Expected February or March, 2019

Colson will be recording an episode of the Happy Market Research podcast with friend and colleague, Jamin Brazil, at the CEO Summit. The Happy Market Research Podcast interviews leaders in market research who work at both agencies and brands including head of insights at Buzzfeed, Mastercard, LinkedIn, and GoDaddy. The discussion covers four major topics: background and journey into research; opportunities in the market research space; how brands use insights to drive business outcomes; leadership and professional development as researchers. Now Communications for Research will join the ranks of the great companies Jamin has spoken with!

Jamin has helped inspire great changes around Communications for Research in 2018 so besides touching on these four major topics, Colson will be sharing his 2018 story on the podcast. We expect this episode to be released in February or March this year and as soon as we get an official release date, we'll be sure to share it with you!

3. The Quirk's Event Chicago - April 2-3, 2019

Lastly, Colson will be attending the Quirk's Event Chicago, a conference for marketing research and insights professionals. He'll be co-presenting with Jenny Mays, insights manager of market and customer insights at The Climate Corporation. They will be presenting the framework that Jenny uses to assess a project and determine what internal/external resources will be included in the research project plan in a session entitled "Levels of DIY: Take Control Without Overwhelming Yourself".

Takeaways for their session include:

1. How to match the right resources to the project during project start-up.
2. Realistic balance of do-it-yourself implementation as a corporate researcher.
3. Defining the options assessed by the Climate research team in determining services sourced.
